What the site is

We read the rate filings, financial statements and other records that insurers file with state regulators, and we publish what they say. Covered Egg LLC is a licensed insurance producer. It is not an insurer.

Estimates are not quotes

The prices our calculators show are estimates worked out from the rates insurers have filed. They are not quotes, offers of insurance or promises of coverage. Only an insurer can quote you a price, and the price it quotes can differ from our estimate.

Information, not advice

Nothing on the site is insurance, legal, financial or veterinary advice, or a recommendation to buy, keep or cancel a policy. What a policy covers is set by the policy itself. Read it, and decide for your own circumstances.

Accuracy

Filings are long, inconsistent and often revised, and we can misread them or fall behind them. The site is provided as it is, with no warranty that it is accurate, complete or current. If you find a mistake, write to privacy@coveredegg.com and we will look at it.

Using what we publish

You are welcome to read, quote and link to the site, with credit. Please ask before copying it in bulk, by automated means or otherwise, or republishing our data.

We link to insurers, regulators and other sites. They are responsible for what is on them, and their own terms apply there.
